Laser Fleet at Weston SC
LASER TRAINING
Just a quick reminder that we have some training happening this Sat 12th June 2010 for all club laser sailors. Cost is £2.50 per sailor to cover the cost of the ribs fuel. You need to be rigged but not changed for 10am. It looks like the weather is going to be perfect as well! It would be helpful to know if you plan to attend but feel free to just turn up if you forget to let me know.
LOCAL OPEN MEETING
On Sunday 12th June it is the Hill Head SC open which is part of the south coast series. Its just down the road so is the perfect open to try if you don't want to travel too far. There should be a few Weston laser sailors taking part.
UKLA CLUB SAILOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The weekend of 26/27 June 2010 is the UKLA Club Sailor Championships. This event is taking place at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy as part of a global laser event.
For this event the top guys are banned from taking part to give club sailors a shot at the prizes and some quality racing. First prize in each fleet is a brand new sail and there is the pride of winning the top club prize for either radial or standard rigs (The top 2 results for each club in each fleet make up the team score).
We have a full rig team of 2 so far - Ian Morgan and Richard Horn - but the more the merrier. It would also be great to get a radial team together to attend. I am unable to take part having won last year so it's up to you guys! I'll be trolley dolly instead for everyone!
The event is pre entry only via http://www.sailracer.co.uk/events/event-v2.asp?eventid=48223. You also need to be a member of the UKLA (which of course you all are already).

Andark Diving & Watersports are able to do dry suit repairs and replacement seals, worth bearing in mind for the new season, especially if you don't like the cold water!

Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace 6/7 March 2010 WSC had a stand at the show all went very well. Thanks to those people who helped out.
