Youth Sailing Go

Sailing for younger members returns to WSC.
Organised and Supervised sailing, with full safety cover. Fun sailing for everyone, away from the racing fleet. Make new friends; try out new boats and improve sailing skills. This is not formal training and is separate to the RYA courses run at the club. Anyone eight and over with some experience, ideally RYA level 3 may come along without parents. Less experienced sailors can sail with parents.
Free use of club boats or bring your own. Ideal for some of the slower boats to get on the water such as Mirror’s, Pico’s, Toppers, Fever’s, Topaz and Vision or for youth sailors to have a blast in Laser’s, RS200, Buzz or 29er. Experienced sailors on hand to demonstrate the faster boats.

- 12th April - Start time 13.30
- 10th May - Start time 12.30
- 7th June - Start time 11.00
- 19th July - Start time 10.00
- 16th Aug - Start time 10.00 including sail cruise away from club
- 30-31st Aug - Catamaran introduction day start 09.00
- 6th Sept - Start time 12.30
- 13th Sept - Laser coaching start 11.00
- 20th Sept - Start time 12.00
- 1st Nov - FIREWORKS pm
- 18th 0ct - Start time 11.30

Volunteers required
Having run several successful sailing days we are now looking for more adult volunteers to help run events. No experience is required to get involved but we particularly require people with instructor qualifications or an ability to undertake maintenance on club boats. Please email for more details.
