Visit First

If you are interested in joining weston but would like to visit first then you are welcome to contact the club and arrange to be shown around by a member. Ask yourself, or them, the following questions:

• Will you be sailing on your own, as a couple or family?
• What kind of boats do people sail at Weston, and what sort are good for my skill level?
• What are my sailing aspirations (eg cruising, club racing, International Race Officer, etc)?
• When do you want to sail at Weston?
• If you're interested in buying a Dinghy, what sort of budget you have?

If you do not own a dinghy yet then you might be interested in club boat hire

No Joining Fees

Weston doesn't have a joining fee for club membership. Just fill in an application form below, at the club, or alternatively if you have any questions please contact the membership sercetary

Once your membership has been accepted you will receive your membership number and, if you have requested one, a club key for the Pound and Changing Rooms

Volunteering

Our sailing club is operated on a voluntary basis, all members of the committee, people in rescue boats, race officers, social helpers are all club members. In order to run the club we rely on our members taking their turn at volunteering to help run the club.

When you join the club you are committing to volunteer at 3 events per year (per Adult member) and we run events throughout the year.

We offer all our members the option to train in the Patrol boats to an equivalent of RYA PB 2, so they can safely cover the club racing.

Online Joining Process

1. Familiarise yourself with the fees as detailed
2. Go to 'Login' located top right of page or https://www.weston.org.uk/signup and create initial account
3. Login to the newly created account and fill in your details under 'Profile & Membership - Join' Including address, membership type, boats that you want to store. If you do not want a 'members key' state that in the 'About me' box. Select 'Apply' at the bottom of the form.
4. If approved you will receive an invoice for you membership fees, once paid you membership will be activated.
5. If you requested a 'members key' (default is to assume you want one) to gain access to the compound then liaise with a club member to receive that key.
6. Join whatsapp group(s) from your mobile
