Getting out on the water for the first time is easy at Weston Sailing Club. If you want to venture out on the water, under sail, then look no further than the Training Section of our website to help you take your first steps afloat.

Dinghies provide an exciting and cost effective way of getting afloat to experience the thrills of sailing. You could take the family cruising, participate in high octane and fast performance sailing, race or just sail on your own for fun.

The great thing about dinghy sailing is that it provides one of the cheapest ways to get afloat. It is also the quickest and easiest way to learn to sail as dinghies are easy to rig, anyone can handle them and they are very responsive, providing limitless entertainment for everyone.

What's it about?

Dinghies are open boats which are suitable for day sailing in a variety of areas both inland and on the open sea. They are fun and exciting whilst bringing you closer to nature.

Craft Hire - for Club Members

During scheduled club sailing (ie not 'Free Sailing'), club members and their guests can hire one of our club craft. The prices are as follows for members (guest rates are on the craft hire form):

Club Spec:

• Topper @ £Free per session - (No rigging guide - see ARO)
• Pico @ £Free per session - Pico Rigging Guide v1.0.pdf
• Feva @ £Free per session - Feva Rigging Guide v1.0.pdf
• Club Laser @ £Free per session - Laser Rigging Guide v1.0.pdf

Premium Spec:

• Premium Laser XD (Racing only) @£10 per session - (you need to be competent to rig correctly yourself)
• Premium RS Vision @ £10 per session - Vision Rigging Guide v1.0.pdf
• Premium STX Paddle Board @ £5/ per HOUR - Weston Paddle Board Hire.pdf

Please ensure you book in advance online via the Members Portal.

Once your booking is confirmed by the Club Administrator read and complete the 'club craft hire form', available here: Weston Day Sailing and Craft Hire Form v21st Nov 2023 (2 Page version).pdf

Bring the completed form with you and please make any payment BEFORE you rig the boat.
