WSC Patrol Boat Training

Published 14:59 on 24 Feb 2025

Ever wanted to drive a Patrol Boat? Then this is your chance! You will see from the Club calendar that we have Patrol Boat training planned in April. As in recent years, Matthew Amiss will be running this and we have 4 spaces available. The training will be in two parts, with a theory session run via Google Meet on the evening of Thursday, 10th April, 7 to 9pm, followed by practical, on-the-water training on Saturday, 12th April, 10am to 5pm.

This training is broadly based on the RYA PB training courses, but with things we don't do stripped out, and the things we do differently added to make it tailored for WSC. Please book your place via the event in the calendar and click the green button to volunteer: link here.

WSC is run by volunteers for the benefit of the members and paying visitors. The sailing program won't happen without having the necessary volunteers to drive our Patrol Boats. We therefore do hope that this training is of interest.
